How long does clear aligner treatment take?

The honest answer is: it depends on your case. Milder cases — a little crowding, small gaps — can begin to show progress from around three months. More complex cases, involving bite correction or significant movement, may take nine months or considerably longer.

Be wary of anyone promising a fixed, dramatic timeline before they've assessed you. Teeth move at a biological pace, and rushing them is neither comfortable nor good clinical practice. A realistic timeline is one your dentist gives you after seeing your scan — not a marketing number.

Because your treatment is overseen in person, the plan can be adjusted thoughtfully as you go. If a case needs fine-tuning towards the end, refinement aligners are discussed as part of reaching the result you approved.
